Back to School Roadshow

The MEC for Human Settlements, Hon. Tasneem Motara and the Executive Mayor of Sedibeng District Municipality, Cllr. Lerato Maloka observed the opening of the school year through a school readiness campaign by visiting several schools in the Sedibeng District. The Roadshow commenced at Mohlodi School of Specialisation in Maritime where they met with the School Management Team (SMT), addressed the assembly, and donated school uniforms. The Departments of Sports and Agriculture also donated sports attire and seeds.

The Roadshow then continued to Thuto Lore Secondary School and General Smuts Secondary School. The MEC and Executive Mayor held discussions with the School Management Teams (SMT) and gave motivational talks to matriculants as well as hold a brief meeting with the management of a local Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre. The Executive Mayor encouraged matriculants to focus on their studies.
